Okay, if you're ready for an all-out "America" overload, then check this out.
Burgers. Bacon. Bourbon. Blueplate special. Battlestar Galactica.
Okay the third one was just a ripping off this classic moment from "The Office" but the others are now a part of the Denny's menu in their new Bourbon Bacon Burger that's being offered as part of their overhauled blueplate special offerings.
The bourbon is used in a glaze that is probably just BBQ sauce, but who cares, they're trying damn it! Doesn't say what kind of bourbon it is, but we'd sure as hell like to eat a bunch of these to see if we can pinpoint the flavor.
Let us know if you try one of these beasts.

The good men and women at Primer Magazine have pulled together a great summary of everything a man needs to know about Whiskey. It's really quite impressive and a good read if you have 10 minutes an interest in whiskey. Of course, if you don't have an interest in whiskey, you're probably not reading this right now.

We have talked at length here at A.B.S. about Allagash Curieux as one of our all-time favorite beers. The bourbon barrel aged brew (alliteration is fun), brings major notes of vanilla and caramel to beer and just tastes absolutely terrific. Well, in case you weren't sure, the folks at Mens Journal agree with us and have listed Curieux as one of the 25 best beers in the world.
We couldn't agree more.

A.B.S. loves good content - especially if it's inside a bottle of bourbon, but we love good internet content as well. In celebration of their 125th Anniversary, Four Roses has put together some really good internet content that we're happy to share. The above infographic details bourbon, and then specifically Four Roses' history in America, and it's done really well. We love that they gave credit to the true pioneers of the spirit who might not be associated with their brand. That's a smart and class act if we've ever seen one.
Take a look, by following this link: http://bit.ly/12Itu90 as the graphic was just too big for our humble little site, but it's definitely worth a look.

Say what!?!? Apparently, according to The Courier-Journal, Maker's Mark is going to start rinsing their barrels in an effort to squeeze more product out of each one before discarding them off to Scotland or turning them into hipster coffee tables. They've acquired a "state-of-the-art rinse process" that would extract additional bourbon from each barrel - we call this scrapping the bottom of the barrel... yes, we know it was a poor attempt, our apologies.
Check out the article, link below, and let us know what you think.
